ARMHS Basic Living and Social Skills are activities that restore a client’s skills essential for managing his or her illness, treatment, and the requirements of everyday independent living. Basic living and social skills may be provided to maintain a recipient’s functioning if the recipient is likely to significantly regress or is at significant risk to lose independent living. These skills need to be restored to prevent recipients from requiring inpatient or residential placement or to live independently in the community. These skills include, but are not limited to:
